Yu Garden in Hamburg

Picking up Peking duck: Of course, it is better to eat on site, if only because of the Yu Garden's location in the outdoor area. But it doesn't work at the moment. Yesterday I picked up a Peking duck for two people there and was very satisfied: As usual, the meal consists of two courses, first of all the duck to be wrapped in pancakes. Nice pieces of duck with what from our point of view exactly the right ratio of skin to meat (so that the pancakes are not too fat, but also not too dry), which did not suffer too much from the transport. We didn't find the paprika strips, which were included as a third component in addition to cucumber and spring onion strips, so essential, but they can be left out. All in all, a successful and plentiful meal at home, after which my wife and I were actually already full, although we are quite good eaters. But there were still two large bowls with the remaining duck as a kind of wok dish and a very large bowl of rice. This is also a convincing dish, in which the flavors of the duck and reduced vegetable deposits (mushrooms and red onions in particular) with - I mean - Szechuan pepper - were worked out without the whole thing, as is often the case with Chinese restaurants in Germany thick sago-bound sauce is pasted. We liked it and was easily enough for two meals (two people each).

4star has to be increased, and there are also many other dishes that should be tried. First of all, the food we had was always very tasty and tasty. The service always attentive. Accidentally came across this gem in 2019, then dined there for the first time in August, a wine buffet with great dishes, a pleasure. Again on site in July 2020. A menu well arranged, the wontons, were the highlight for me, (can you say sensual about dishes?) For me, simply a great pleasure and the matching wine. And now in October again, have fun With the service and the food once across the bed, simply very good. To the location, simply beautiful, like a short vacation. I have a picture! Snow slowly falls on the square, everything is bathed in a soft white, wrapped in a blanket and in front of you a bowl of noodle soup. I have a picture ?!

We were in the Yu Garden for the first time this evening and decided on the three-course menu + wine. The first impression of the location with the garden is impressive. The food itself is normal for my taste, like a Chinese. Looking back, I thought the restaurant was okay. But it didn't knock me off my stool either. In this respect, I tend between three or four stars. I don't know if I'll be back again.

Every hamburger should know this place. It feels like you're on a short trip to Asia

The location is an absolute eye-catcher. It really feels like leaving Hamburg for a brief moment. The staff is attentive and friendly. Everything is clean. The food is okay, but unfortunately not perfect for the price.

My expectations were not met. Unfortunately, no authentic dishes are served in this restaurant. The dishes are not very spicy. It is a Chinese cuisine adapted to German tastes that can be found on every street corner. The audience consisted entirely of Germans. Anyone looking for an authentic Chinese restaurant in Hamburg has numerous alternatives. - There is a star for the Chinese alcoholic beverages. It's actually not everywhere.

We ordered the set lunch for two, reasonable price with very delicious starters and soup, chicken and beef are nice as well. Plus it has a very decent location in hamburg

We went to YU Garden today via a recommendation with a group of five. The atmosphere was authentic and calm, the waiters very attentive and everyone liked the food, we had various starters and main courses. The portions were surprisingly large. The waiting time between courses was reasonable. Conclusion: worth a (further) visit!

The best Chinese restaurant in Hamburg! The food is delicious and the environment is really a dream, you wouldn't think that this is "just" a restaurant. It almost looks like Yu Garden from Shanghai. Definitely recommended.

The beef menu was unfortunately of the quality like a meal in Schnellrestsurant. Despite Corona, many guests walk through the restaurant without mouth and nose protection. The chairs are very uncomfortable. Unfortunately the waiting time for the food was far too long (4 hours) overall. The atmosphere is more like a shell restaurant in an amusement park. It's a shame Mr. Chen we won't be back😌

Super delicious 😋 dishes 🍲 and a great ambience ⛩ It is an original replica from China 🇨🇳 The houses, bridges and the river. There is also a tea house 🏮 and a large hall for events 🎎 We sat outside and that on a warm summer evening, it was very pleasant. The service was super fun 🤵🏻

Delicious authentic Chinese cuisine in the beautiful garden. We had the "eat at home" menu, which offered a wide variety of different starters, as well as 2 different main dishes and a heavenly dessert. There was also very delicious Chinese wine. The service is excellent and explains the individual dishes and their origins. An all round successful evening, we will definitely come back soon.

I have been back to the Yu Garden for a long time (after the standstill), invited to eat 🍴! I do not judge the restaurant politically and after events that may return home! Just after staying that evening! And that was very nice! The staff friendly and open-minded, tried to create a very nice atmosphere again! The food with starters was very good, served relaxed and served very attentively! We felt very comfortable and will be back!

Most authentic Chinese Food in Hamburg. By far one of the most delicious places for dumplings and Youtiao. Highly recommending the breakfast set. The staff is friendly and forthcoming. The environments is a nice garden which allows you to eat outside, but also the furniture inside the buildings are comfort and inviting. Highest recommendation, will visit again.

You walk over a little bridge and that was it. We took a photo of their menu, cause when we were there around 2pm there was nothing. Closed. Just to give you a better idea, when you choose to go here. Not sure if there is any special tea at the restaurant. But then.... I have no idea.
